Set up by women, for our women.
Since its inception in July 2019, The Hive has been run by women for women. Empowerment of women, particularly those most marginalized and vulnerable, is at the heart of all that it does.
The Hive is unique in its innovation, vision and concept. There’s no other inclusive, safe space for women, that has such a comprehensive offering of activities, specialisms and services. The women who form the core management team
are predominantly Muslim women of diverse ethnic, professional, spiritual and social backgrounds. This enables them to truly understand and connect with women across our diverse and multi-cultural borough, and beyond.
The Centre is succeeding in improving the social inclusion of women who for far too long have remained, voiceless and excluded from the community. In a climate of rising numbers of hate crime, anti-immigrant sentiment and Islamophobia,
The Hive is thriving and serving the community by dismantling misconceptions, challenging stereotypes, inspiring women whilst furnishing them with skills and knowledge that they can use to better their lives and that of their families.
